Sulfide soil or not? The answer comes instantly
An analysis platform where customers enter their own data from soil analyses and instantly find out whether it is sulfide soil. Purchase, calculation and delivery all happen automatically.
The starting point
The customers have had soil analyses done and are sitting on the data. The question they want answered is simple to ask but important to get right: is this sulfide soil or not?
The brief was to build a service where that assessment could be made without anyone having to receive, calculate and answer every request by hand.
What I built
We built an analysis platform where customers enter the data from their soil analyses themselves. The calculations run automatically, and the answer appears on screen right away.
The platform is also an ordering service. Payment runs through Stripe, and customers buy analyses as a prepaid balance, a bit like tokens. Each run draws from the balance. That means a customer can buy several analyses at once and use them whenever it suits them.
The result
Customers get their answer instantly, without waiting for someone to get to their case. For the business, both selling and delivering analyses happen fully automatically.
It’s a good example of what automation can look like when it’s built in from the start. It isn’t a connection bolted onto a manual way of working. The whole service is built to run itself, and that’s what makes software of your own worth building.
What I built it with
So what keeps grinding your gears?
I like hearing about the problems companies run into. Ideas for fixing them usually show up fast. No strings attached.
